COO Patrick Mark
COO Patrick Mark is a producer, writer and director and concentrates on MSP’s production operations. Before joining the company, Patrick was at fine art auctioneers Christie's for five years, overseeing the company’s film production activities.
Patrick has written, directed and produced an impressive array of feature-docs and broadcast films and series. Subjects include the history of Fabergé, Egyptology, Indian culture, Arabian archaeology, the cars of the Maharajas, the conservation of Buddhist art and, from the Palestine Hotel in Baghdad, live coverage of the 2003 'shock and awe' operations.
As Patrick explains, MSP prides itself on its ‘immaculate production values and intelligent content… making distinctive and aesthetically pleasing films that engage and delight audiences.’ One particular challenge has been to ‘translate our films into other languages, such as Mandarin and Arabic while still retaining the nuances of the original.’ He also points out that ‘beyond broadcast commissions MSP has been a pioneer in matching compelling real-life stories with private, corporate, NGO or governmental funding.’
